Appointment cancellation

We understand that occasionally you may also have an unexpected need to rebook your appointment. We therefore ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot make your scheduled appointment, to allow us the opportunity to offer it to other patients.

A missed appointment or cancellation with less than 24 hours notice during office hours may result in a cancellation fee of $100.

Preparation for your consultation

Please fill and return any paperwork my receptionists send out prior to your appointment.

What to expect at your consultation

When you arrive at our consulting rooms, you will be greeted by the receptionist staff and given a few registration forms to fill in if you are a new patient– please arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow time for this. During the consultation itself, Dr Nathan will listen carefully as you describe the problem and your medical history before conducting a careful physical examination. Further investigations may be required, such as blood tests or an ultrasound, to arrive at an accurate diagnosis. Our secretaries will book these for you.

If further tests are necessary, we will need to arrange a follow up appointment in order to assess the results. In the meantime, Dr Nathan will write to your GP to summarise the outcome of the first appointment, as he will continue to do after all subsequent consultations; please ask if you would like to see copies of these letters.

What to bring to your consultation

Please bring all copies of relevant investigations that have already been done, if you have them. This includes:

  • Medicare and Private Health Insurance documentation (Medicare Card, Insurance Card etc).
  • A valid Referral letter from your GP or referring specialist (or ensure that a referral has been sent to us directly).
  • All x-rays rays / radiology images, scans, pathology or test results (eg: Blood, Urine) relating to your problem.
  • A list of your current medications.
  • A list of your other medical problems and previous surgery.
